From an early age, I am a word girl and bookaholic. I love words in general and the Word above all. My passion is digging into the Scriptures—doing word studies and discovering what God wants to show me there. I have journaled my personal Bible studies for many years.

Over the years, I would occasionally share insights that I had learned with others. I wondered, though, if there was more that I should be doing with them. The word “blog” came to mind one day as I was seeking God about this.

Now the idea of a blog scared me almost as much as the idea of speaking in front of a group of people did. I had so many questions, most of which, I didn’t really want answers to at the time. I tried to ignore the blog whisper.

In the meantime, God was helping me overcome my fear of public speaking. I branched out some by sharing at women’s events at my church, making two of our “Living Stones Speak” videos, and more recently teaching lessons I have written with my granddaughter’s Sunday school class.

But the idea of a blog kept banging around in my head and heart, until it finally slipped out in conversation with a friend. It was no longer a whisper to be ignored. Thanks to the encouragement of family and friends, I am now sharing my heart for God and his Word here with you. I hope you are blessed by what you find.

Thank you for taking the time to be here with me!

P.S. In case you’re interested in a bit more about me… I am a wife, mom of two grown boys, and a grandma. We live on my family’s century farm in Oregon’s central Willamette Valley. I work part time as the office administrator at my church. I especially love spending time with my family and have fun hanging out with my granddaughter—including playing video games with her. Besides being in the Word, I also enjoy reading, photography, and am learning to paint with watercolors.
